Hi All,

I'm using a text editor called WebCoder. Web Coder has a built in FTP program, that I've thought would easily upload the new site. The FTP program makes the connection with the server, I sign in with my password, I see all my old files on the web host server, but I can't upload the new files.

I can't get to the new web site files on my PC, when the FTP program connects to the server. What am I doing wrong?

Is there a way to upload my files to the server using just Windows XP?

Thanks,
SenMar

I'm not familiar with that software, but Windows XP does have FTP capabilities if you enabled them during setup. It runs from the command line. Here are the FTP switches [microsoft.com] you can use. If you prefer FTP with a GUI then there are plenty of free ones. I hear that Filezilla has good reviews.

THANK YOU BILL!

I downloaded Filezilla, connected to the server, and all the files were right there in front of me!

Thanks Again,
SenMar :-)

Glad that worked for you. Usually a 3rd party FTP app is what I use rather than the built in Windows FTP. It's a good to have a few options at your disposal.
