Dreamweaver and Javascript
Navigation menu layout question

 2:15 am on Nov 2, 2005 (gmt 0)

I built free website for a library, my first big project, and I am not an expert by any means. I am learning as I go. The question is, I downloaded the code for a nav menu from dynamic drive and implemented it on the left hand side of the pages. The menu is a switch menu and it takes up the whole side of the left page in dreamweaver, but when looking at the browser it is closed up and there is all this empty space below. I can't put anything below it without making the page longer, unless there is some way to make layers. Any ideas on how to do this without the menu dropping down below any layered content? Hope this makes sense. I could post the site, but don't know if that is acceptable on the forum for safety reasons. TIA

I haven't gotten a response yet, so I thought I would bump it up. Thanks:)
