Do you use shared borders and FP includes? Just read something that mentions that error message appearing if you use includes inside shared borders.

Sorry, could you elaborate, much of the FP is a mystery to me!

No probs ;) Any chance you know what operating system and webserver the host is using? A few searches showed that most of the time its due to old FP extensions or a problem with Apache on a Windows setup. Either way- if you could say what youre OS and server your running it would help :) My guess its the FP extensions or the setup of them, maybe something to do with the host.

Thanks My sites are on a Unix server running Apache. FP extentions are installed and they should be for FP2000 although I believe FP2002 is backwardly compatible. I am running FP2000 on XP Pro. When I try to publish an error message says to check that the FP extentions are installed. My host says that everything is working ok. I have just looked at another of my sites and the FP counter is no longer working so I think this is a server related problem even though the host says it's not! I would be very grateful for any info as I have customers waiting for updates. I no longer use FP for any of my sites, these are left over from when I started.

<bump> Anyone else had this problem? I'm still thinking the host has the magic wand here.

Thanks for all your thought. I spoke to the host again today and convinced them that the problem was at the server end. By removing the FP extentions and then re-installing via ftp instead of the control panel the problem has gone! How the problem occurred in the first place is a mystery but there were corrupt scripts which affected all my sites. I think the sites are all on the same server which explains why they all went down. If I have had a problem it has always been with FP extentions. I now prefer to be a master of my own destiny! Thanks once again
