Preferably freeware, but doesn't have to be, I s'pose. Just need something a bit more detailed then the memo pad. :) Would like some text formating (bold, italic, etc..)

I find tons of software at freewarepalm.com. Never personally did much advanced text work with mine though...

For a text reader I use iSilo, which has a companion desktop utility that will convert an html document to pdb format, if you don't need to actually compose the text on the Palm.

DataViz is coming with all the newer Palms. It has a "word for palm" doc format.

Well, even freewarepalm only has one "word processor" listed for Palm OS... but FreeWrite [handheld.hice-dev.org] does sound like it would fit the bill for advanced Palm-based text editing. Just downloaded a copy to try out myself.

Thank ya much for the responses. Gonna give DataViz a spin. Looks like it'll do what I'm needing.

edited - Ooops...missed Mivoxs last post there. :) Will give that one a try as well.
