I am wondering if anyone can tell me if this is possible. I have several phones lines and trying to lower costs and eliminate multiple phone bills.

I maintain one line for the occassional fax. I was hoping to figure out a way to send and receive faxes from a office fax machine using a cell phone for connectivity. Is there a way to plug a cell phone into a fax machine. Using a AIO 962 Dell all-in-one printer, fax, scanner and copier.

Why not use a service like efax to send and recieve faxes. It delivers faxes sent to you fax number to your email address and you can send faxes via the internet. It would save paper and you could get rid of another phone line

I used efax several years ago. The free account limits the amount of faxes you can receive and is very prone to fax spam. Also in order to get a number that is local, you have to pay.

All-in-all, I did not like the service which I used for close to two years.

I have never tried it, but what I think you would do, is you would receive the fax on your phone (pocket pc?) and then xfer it to a computer and print it out from there. Some of the prgs I've seen will even create a pdf out of the fax.

Thanks Brett -- that would work. I guess the concept I was thinking of is something similar to the mobile fax machines people carry in their cars and use a mobile for connectivity. I am sure this involves some sort of mobile fax and not your run of the mill office fax.
