what's the best way to access everything from my home PC when i travel? i can only transfer so much to my laptop (very annoying).

so far i've heard:

gotomypc

set up a VPN

anyone in the same boat as me? i have no clue how to set up a VPN so gotomypc is my first option right now. just trying to get a feel on the best way to do this

seems like i'm dominating this forum:)

thanks

What OS are you running (on both laptop and home machine)? XP? 2000? Mac?

XP Home...

i did a little research and it looks like GoToMyPC is cheaper, and easier than messing with a VPN.

what do i lose with this? I cant be the only traveling webmaster on this site who has compared the two!

thanks...

GoToMyPC is the only thing that I could get through my corporate firewall to my workstation. Compared to the price and complexity of setting up a VPN in my case the GoToMPC option was the best. I've been using them for about 5 or so years now and have no complaints.

If you're looking at GoToMyPC you should also look at LogMeIn

Cheers,
