With a fully charged battery my iPAQ seems to discharge overnight - almost to zero. It acts like the unit is on. I can only guess that maybe the unit doesn't shut down properly or that the on-off button is pressed while in my luggage somehow. ANyone else have this problem? I read somewhere that there is an issue with the iPaq not always shutting doen properly or coming back on of its own accord. Am I nuts?

If you have an alarm or alert set, say from a meeting reminder, the iPaq wakes up to tell you about it.

Make sure that you have the settings in the control panel set to go back to sleep when on battery after a short time.
