"Dell didn't get big enough to kick around all the other computer manufacturers by blithely jumping on every new trend. So for it to ship its first handheld organizer must mean something."

Does anybody here have one? I am thinking about it. I don't see the need to spend the amount of money that will buy a desktop on a handheld. I already have a laptop if I need to do anything halfway powerfull on the go.

I especially like that it takes the same memory as my digital camera.

Is there any software to view my database (access, getting ready to switch to mysql) so that I can look up product information and prices on the handheld? The database is only a couple megs and couple thousand entries on the table I care about.

The only way these are going to go over big is if Dell promotes them by giving them free to every computer purchase. I like their computers, especially their notebooks, but the PDAs look somewhat less than mediocre.
