Hi all! What have you got to say about copyrights on pictures made by taking screenshots from different television programs?

I know there will be very difficult for the tv-stations to prove that certain images and pictures comes from their channel - or at least it will be kind of hard to find out that the pictures comes from their tvshows.

But what if someone else steals the pictures from MY site, and then use them as their own, can I do anything about this, or would I come out winning if I just held my mouth shot?

The broadcaster is broadcasting copyright material.

Your screenshot is of the material not of the broadcast.

The owner of the material would be the one who sues you.

If your content is taken tell their ISP and... oh, search WebmasterWorld for "stolen content" is all there, :)

According to Wikipedia, screenshots would fall under "fair use". On the other hand, I don't think you can do anything more than complain if someone steals them.
