|FTP server in REDHAT 7.3|
What do I do to have a FTP server in REDHAT 7.3?
I would like to set up a FTP server in RH 7.3:
1. What program do I need to download or is it in my Redhat?
2. How do I install it?
The easiest way is probably using rpm. Get file wu-ftpd-2.6.2-5.i386.rpm (either from RedHat or RpmFind).
Install (as root) : rpm -ivh wu-ftpd-2.6.2-5.i386.rpm
or you can use vsftpd. It's supposed to be more secure. Check out vsftpd.beasts.org. They have RPM's there if I recall correctly.
