This site [trylinuxsd.com] has some *really* basic tutorials for using Linux to do a lot of the things a typical user would otherwise use Windows to do.

**Warning, the site is sponsored by Mandrake, so it will be pushing Mandrake over other Linux distributions. Yet, most aspects of the tutorials are universal for all the major distributions.

Some folks who are debating whether or not to take the Linux plunge may find this website helpful.
