|OpenOffice, Linux save Verizon BIG BUCKS|

It may be old news that Verizon switched its programmers to Linux and OpenOfiice - but Verizon recently claimed that the move dropped their cost per workstation from $22,000 to $3,000.
Now that is some savings!

That sure is some savings. Imagine how much they would have saved if the CEO's secretary had been typing memos on a Linux computer.
