High listing on Google but awful on Alltheweb

Pages for my keywords appear on Google's (and Google supplied engines)first page, but appear way back on Alltheweb (and Altavista also) sometimes beyond page 10.
Any ideas for this major difference in results?
Thanks.

I've noticed the same for some of my sites.

After about 8 months or so, without doing anything differently, my sites started to rank a lot better in ATW.

Clearly my "evidence" is flimsy at best, but it might be true that ATW ranks new websites in their database with penlites until established.

That's just a guess though.

Guys and girls, this topic has been discussed to death. Go check out the site search or scroll though the forum's first couple of pages. Lot of answers there.
