Google has occasionally released information about their server farm. However, I have never seen any information about FAST's server farm other than it uses DELL's servers. Is there any information available on FAST's server farm such as:
How many servers (Google has 54,000! according to a NYTimes article.)
How much data is on each server. (At one point, Google was putting only 40GB drives on each machine.)
How the servers are organized...
etc.
I am writing an article on distributed search technology and am trying to locate information about how FAST's server farm works and/or how their software manages their server farm.
Thanks,
