If you use the Lycos Insite Select service does it get you into FAST and therefore AllThe Web as well? Struggling to understand the difference between this and the Position Tech offering (apart from PT's higher price and reporting). Thanks

LycosInsite as well as PositionTech are gateways into the Fast index, reselling Fast PartnerSite. So either way gets your pages into Fast and therefore in all Fast portal partners. PT does some extra reporting and offers a different interface.

| I asked Lycos when the reports advertised on Insite Select as coming soon will be available & got this reply: "The reporting features are coming in the very near future! We're constantly working on improving Lycos InSite and I'm confident you will enjoy all the positive changes made to the service. You can look for reports in the upcoming weeks." Reports are: Links to My Site - See which other sites link to your web site Status Reports - View the URLs in your account and their current state. Click-thru Charts - Graphical representation of Click-Thru Data. Will be interesting to see how they compare with Posion Pro reports. The Lycos Insite Select system seems geared to use by single domain owners rather than SEOs. Submitting & managing multiple domains is pretty clunky because unlike Position Pro they don't separate domains.

Some words of advice from those who are using Insite select, please. I have been using LIS for a few months now and all is cool, except that trying to add a NEW url to my batch is an enourmous headache. Can anyone throw some light? I can edit the ones I paid for but can't add new ones... Am i in the right forum? :)

Rober62 Addind additional URLs is certainly not clearly documented so I emailed Lycos asking how to do it. Below is their reply which I've successfully followed. Hope this answers your question: [edited by: Brett_Tabke at 8:18 pm (utc) on Nov. 6, 2002] [edit reason] tos #9: Email excerpts of ANY type are not allowed on WebmasterWorld. [/edit]

Thanks Biggles. I believe I followed that procedure but what happened is that on the final stage, I would have gotten charged again for the $18 annual membership, in addition to the $12 per new URL...That got me confused. Since working from within the account, membership charges should be taken for granted, no? Anyway, I will try it one more time. Thanks!

Oops, sorry Brett. Forgot about not quoting emails. Robert62 - when you add additional URLs from other domains you don't get pinged for an additional $18 membership fee, just $12 p URL. Have to say that whilst Lycos Insite Select are cheaper using Position Pro is easier from this perspective.

The click through reporting promised by Lycos is now available and looking at it I'd swear it was identical to that offered by PT. Maybe they're licensing PT's reporting?
