How Alltheweb rank web pages?
Ranking algorithm of Alltheweb

 6:52 am on Sep 24, 2002 (gmt 0)

This is my first time in this forum, please pardon for any mistakes.

How does Alltheweb rank web pages? Through the free submission page, how long does a web site take to get indexed? I experienced that there are delays when the web site are submitted for free.

Hello Asomani,

I don't have the ranking algo's for Alltheweb! Best bet is to type Alltheweb into site search and start trawling throught the masses of info available.

Indexing for free can take upto 6months but should be done inside two really.

hope this helps a bit

Hi asomani!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld - remember to check out Paynt's welcome thread [webmasterworld.com]

There has already been some good advice in this thread, and remember Site Search [searchengineworld.com] is your friend :)

It looks to me like optimizing for Google works pretty well for FAST too. FAST seems to have a decent algo.
