"AlltheWeb is currently the worldís largest and freshest Internet index with a full refresh cycle of 7 Ė 11 days"
7-11 days.... wow, I didn't know that.

Ok, they've clarified. That's nice.
But, has anyone else noticed that the Sponsored Listings are now popping onto the screen all by themselves and seem to be hanging on for a few seconds before the rest of the SERPS pop on the screen ?
Or is it just my slow connection?
(Happening on Fastsearch and Alltheweb, but not Lycos)
Update: After the first half hour or so, it's now only happening to me intermittently.

anyone else seeing this delay ?

The really telling piece of info in this press release for me is the figure given for PFI pages: less than 1%. And I'd bet in fact it's much less than 1%.
Anyway, it's a good move to react to the FTC advisory by clarifying where results are coming from.
PPC listings at Lycos sites are under seperate deals, they are delivered directly to Lycos.

Not seeing this at the moment from here 4crests, but I'll keep trying. I am still seeing paid links labelled as "Start Here" (not even the word 'sponsored') however.... not exacly in line with the spirit of the FTC declaration!

Seeing clearly marked and indented "sponsored" listings here. Nice work Fast.

Well, nothing has changed with the way PPC listings are presented.
The occasional "start here" listings are different from the "Sponsored listings" only US surfers are seeing.
Neither have been changed in presentation.
The new addition is an informational page not yet uploaded (expecting it later today), which is likely to be found under
where the implementation of PFI and PPC listings are explained in detail.

Good news - well done FAST.
This will help AlltheWeb users make informed decisions.

So they are serving different stuff to the US than to here... I didn't realise that.

The info pages are live now. Accessible from links directly on top of the serps. For the non US users it's
next to the heading
Web pages found / what's included [alltheweb.com]
For US folks it's also at "about
listings" next to Sponsored Listings.

The "Start Here" links are now gone. At least for me they are gone.
The 4,5,6 Overture results that looked kind of like adwords and were listed in boxes on the right side, are also gone.
