AlltheWeb - The Lowdown
Tips for optimising for alltheweb

 11:06 am on Jun 18, 2002 (gmt 0)

In the past I've put all my effort into optimising for Google and have a good ranking, top 5 on most keywords.

After reading some of the posts here I'd like to put some effort into alltheweb, where I'm currently 86th! I have lots of good links, and clear meta tags. What else should I do?

Also, do Inktomi results go into alltheweb. I've a couple of pfi pages with ink and I think they are the ones currently showing up - but why is my ranking so bad compared to Mr.GG?

>do Inktomi results go into alltheweb?

Fast and Inktomi have nothing to do with each other at all. So NO, Inktomi resultat *do not* go into ATW.

You can take a look at some of these threads on Fast optimisation:

The difference between Fast and Google have also been under some investigation lately:

Your not alone I've never been able to crack that nut either, so any tips would be very much appreciated, but as my market place is UK I don't know the importance of a good listing

As far as I know ink doesn’t provide any results for alltheweb

Wow, I only have 5 pages indexed in Fast. I wonder how that could be. I've had at least 28 pags on the web for a while and am now up around 120 or so. Anyone know what the problem could be? I am in the ODP, as well.
