How to optimize for fast ?
Any tips please

I have a site about 250 pages and would like to get all pages indexed with fast. Also any ideas when the next update is likley to be.

hi paul,

as it seems, FAST just finished the spidering or is about to finish. About half of our pages have been crawled and I got a report from a fellow webmaster, that FAST has been on his site today and took appr. 300 pages... but it is getting softer... so I guess FAST is done...

Optimiziation for us is basically the same like Google, except that FAST reads the METAs, Google not really...

rough plan could be:
- Keywords in title
- Keywords in links to the page
- Keywords in the META (descr + keywords)
- Keywords in bigger fonts

Just my 2 cents...

Yes, basic, sound optimiztion techniques. Add linkpop to the equation. Throw some ODP Yahoo style listings in.
Do short pages. Tune up on density. Validate. Get good external links to important inner pages. Make clear what the page is about, as in title, <h>, anchortext.
