msg:224115 | 11:32 am on Mar 13, 2002 (gmt 0) | I've noticed fast dancing all over the place with serps, one minute i have number 1 for a deep page, then i have a #4 or #5 for the base url, with the base taking over the dedicated page in rank position - why ? It's been happening on and off for several months, Fast seems to switch from the base url, that is very general to specific targetted pages, that one would expect to see ranked above, and vice versa - is anyone else seeing this ? Would kw loaded subdomains work better, drawing towards such a simple base url, that the real content is on the sub.domains, and the index is used as a simple text based navigation to the sub.domains ?

I guess they just aren't into excessive amounts of pages loaded with keywords, I think subtelty wins this one.

Just tested some queries again - it worked very well. On broad terms generally domains/index pages were returned, more specific terms brought up inner pages.
