The loss was expected, actually they could narrow losses compared to previous quartals. Not so good anyhow is they could only get there by cutting costs, not by increasing revenues. Severe case of suffering from downfall in ad revenues.

Anyhow, compare Lycos.com now with what it was half a year ago: they have improved. If that's good enough in the competition against MSN, AOL, Yahoo...no idea.
