Alltheweb.com Links
How are links worked out for Fast

 11:13 am on Oct 19, 2001 (gmt 0)

Using link:www.mydomain.com on Fast only shows up some inbound links.

Why is this?

Does the link have to be a text link to show up as it seems that all the links that show up for me are text links

I get same results on link: and url:

And I get the same (similar) results just typing in www.domain.com without url: and link: ... My guess is that the terms url and link are used as keywords also??

An advanced search will show the links - Use 'Must include' - then the domain name, then - 'in the link to the url'.

This will also show internal site links.

For external links only, use must include "domainname" in the link to the url AND must not include "domainname" in the url.

For me Fast is the best SE to get the complete list of incoming links.

I'm not quite following... What's the complete syntax for external links only... and the syntax for external and internal links?

The result URL will be too long - examine it after you do a search from here:

[alltheweb.com ]

(Leave the search terms blank and fill in the word filters as starec says)

My post will give internal and external, starec's gives just external.

Many thanks Bobbriggs and starec
