msg:219780 | 5:16 pm on Sep 27, 2001 (gmt 0) | My site is listed on Fast with a .com domain. However this poses problems as lycos.co.uk (using Fast data) filters searches and excludes my site. As my site is aimed at a UK market this is rather annoying. I have tried submitting a .co.uk domain to alltheweb but it only seems to spider and update pages listed under .com. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can remove the indexing of my site under .com and get the site listed under my .co.uk domain instead?

If it is a separate site, and a direct copy of the .com address you may fall foul of the site being seen as a mirror. That's not good. If it is a redirect to the .com address, then, that just won't cut the mustard. You have to have a separate site on the .co.uk domain. You'd want to have the .com redirect to the .co.uk (although, I'd always advise agains redirects, unless you have to).

I have had the exact same problem with Fast for months, I suppose I should really do something about it :) This topic has been discussed a few times in the past. Here is one such discussion. Try the site search [searchengineworld.com] to find others. [webmasterworld.com...]
