Hi all,

I have a potential client who for some reason has only one concern... to get in Sympatico.ca

He is pretty niaive about se's and what is entailed. He is also not the most patient person.

My concern is this: if Direct Hit is more important in Sympatico's default search, it will take a long time and there are no guarantees he will get in, let alone good positions. However, if FAST (through Lycos) comes up first, I am ok. I need to know what to tell him relatively quickly and I can't seem to find the info on Sympatico's site.

I know the directory info is supplied by ODP, but the search doesn't search these results by default. This guy is a typical internet user... uses default settings, and therefore, can't imagine why anyone wouldn't. This is why ODP doesn't matter so much for his situation.

Any ideas?

Fast, is your quickest way to get listed. You may never get into Directhit and Dmoz can take awhile. Work on all of them though.

You can do pretty good with FAST results alone on both Lycos.com and Sympatico.ca.
