"Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; Badass scanned your page!)"

Badass hit my index 24 times from and it looks to be out of Denmark. Only one result on the search engines and it is currently down.

Anyone else notice this oddity?

Yeah, I saw almost the same exact thing.
A couple dozen downloads and it went away.
Sounds like a script kiddie, nothing to worry about. -Larry

My guess it's just some scraper being cute. :)

Hi Marcia:

I would expect a scraper to use my content, and try to cover his tracks.
I see just the opposite here. -Larry

I said notice, no worry. ;)

Doesn't seem like a smart bot anyway.

Maybe some download manager where you can set your own identification, like for Metaproducts Offline Explorer . . .

I played around with this option to see what I have to write in my .htaccess file to block those unwanted bots ( or whatever they are ) . . . It can look funny aswell with "Elvis was here" or something like that" :D

I'll keep me eyes open for this ...Badass scanned your page...

It's active, hit my box on 06/23/2006, it's originating from a server, not a home line.

The box had some adult junk on it so I blocked their IP range since it's all servers.
