Wel shall try a 2nd question up and see if anyone will reply..;)
I have a guestbook and it is in asp ..?
I have a few people who daily spam it..leave many many links on the pages...jsut using the guestbook too promote unrelated business..
I would like to capture their IP address..I DL a few scripts and put then in the gb.asp and in the gb_func.asp but they did not work..(actually script appeared at top of page...even though I had them in the <head> (following the directions of scripts)one was java script and other one was simple asp line to add..but when you went to my page it would show the actual script part about This is your IP etc..but no IP addy just part of the code...

I would appreciate any thoughts advice on how to do this..what code, and where do I put it etc...

Thank you...

hypasha, Welcome to WebMasterWorld,
may be your question should be moved to the scripting forum,
you have to use the simple ASP function "Request.ServerVariables" as below:

<% Response.Write "Your IP address is: " + Request.ServerVariables("REMOTE_ADDR") %>

and put it at any place in your HTML (body section)
