Historically, Thursday was payday and therefore shopping day. Look at the grocery ads in the Thursday paper (I guess it's still the big coupon day). I cannot believe that this is still a factor... but something is there.

Interestingly, Thursday has signifigantly higher sales for me than any other day with Monday being a distant 2cnd.

>I cannot believe that this is still a factor It may very well be. It is surprising how long social conditioning can last. The "perfect" time for a radio single is still around 2'57". Why? Because we are conditioned to that attention span. Why? How much music can you fit on a 78rpm phonograph? Onya Woz

I know that in the UK and specifically London, many have a couple of beers over lunch on a Thursday which can drift into a big pub night. As far as net traffic goes - they take a break from hitting all of your sites and spend all their time on mine ;) Wednesdays and Thursdays have been our best days spanning over the last 2 years. Saturdays have and will continue to be a dog for us!

Here on WmW it runs: Tuesday, Wens, Thursday about tied. Monday and Sunday are about tied, then friday, and the dog is Saturday with 1/4th the traffic. The surprise to me is Sunday, but I think that is mostly the regulars kicking back on a sunday afternoon. A couple other more infotainment sites oriented at a young crowd: saturday and sunday are our biggest days with monday being the total dog. On our mp3 site, traffic is double on saturday what it is on any other day. Over on sew, monday is tops, with the rest of the work week tied. Saturday is so bad over there, I used to think there was a server bug.
