I have several media ads that have unique phone numbers and domain names. Each domain name redirects into our main domain name. My current tracking system doesn't track this which defeats the whole purpose of having them.
Can anyone suggest a good tracking program who's code will not add alot of weight to my webpages.
I'm wondering why looking at the logs for the redirect servers wouldn't give you the information you need?
Otherwise, why not add a tracking field to the redirected URL -- so when someone goes to www.thatsite.com, instead of redirecting them to www.mysite.com, you send them to www.mysite.com?src=www.thatsite.com.
Sounds like your redirects are too sophisticated! If they bounce, then they should appear in the referral information.
What I would consider (and I claim a vague interest here so can't be specific) use an affiliate tracking system as it would then be possible using the right system to carry your unique phone numbers all the way into the main website AS WELL as track each campaign... so the phone number on the advert (or at least a unique extension number) appears in place or after the general phone number.
Other options - well, yes there are many. Infact I would suggest MOST tracking would do what you want.
