|Strange IP address in logs|
RIPE DB says it's "ALLOCATED UNSPECIFIED"
| 2:37 pm on Apr 6, 2004 (gmt 0)|
I keep finding the same IP address in logs for my PPC advertising. I think it's click fraud - thing is, when I look the IP up in the RIPE database it says:
The country is really worldwide.
This address space is assigned at various other places in the world and might therefore not be in the RIPE database."
What does this mean? The ISP hasn't specified their details so they don't appear here?
Have to admit this is new to me...thanks.

Post the IP, I'm sure there are more than a few of us here who can find out SOMETHING :)

It means that it is not in the RIPE database
American Registry for Internet Numbers [arin.net] or Asia Pacific Network Information Centre [apnic.net]

I was being an idiot - the message I posted above means they are not in RIPE (for Europe) of course so I tried Arin and hey, presto, found them in the US.
That's my stupid moment for today out of the way...must try to have them in private in future!
(And cheers for the replies).
