|comScore & MSN|
Any influence on results ?

A search for www.airfrance.com [search.msn.com] on MSN returns a dns error page today..guess that's just a temporary glitch. You may need to try another url for your search.
The error page suggests that the related sites MSN shows on this page are partly provided by comScore.
Could they be using comScore statistical data to determine related websites, possibly even influence ranking on regular results pages ?
Interesting concept I think as it eliminates the need for a click counter in urls but can still measure click through popularity, time spent on a site and related websites.
From what I understand their 1 million members are routed through comScore servers when they surf the web...anyone ever saw them in logs ?

One could say we went from on-page criteria to including off-page criteria in seo.
Isn't the next step the (average/individual)user experience, tracked independent from the search engines sites ?
Calculating how many times a site is bookmarked, how long an average visit takes , what other sites were visited by visitors .. and so on.
Vistabar was already trying to do this. Memex. Google seems to have plans for this (Outride). Comscore may be something similar.
