Something pesky... over 800 hits in a few hours coyote msg:902175 2:24 am on Jan 19, 2004 (gmt 0) I've had quite a bit (understatement, eh?) of unproductive traffic today from a certain IP: 207.16.173.****
I'm thinking it's a bot, because as dumb as some people are I don't think any human being would load the same few pages over a hundred times each.
The IP belongs to a company offering colocation services. Wilderness posted a helpful thread on colocation in the Spider ID forum a while back.

We noticed something similar on the 23rd December in our logs for one site. 10,000 pages loaded overnight, many the same one again and again. We also got a hack exception warning from the log files. Some hack programme looking for a back door mayhap?
