Hi I have just had a new website and I am trying to track visitors. On my old website tracker they called the visitors unique hits is this the same as sessions? Does this figure of sessions include the times when I have gone into the website? This is probably a simple question for many of you but I am am new to this. On my new website I have had 340 sessions since 9 December. What other information should I be focusing on regarding the statistics? a confused businesswoman!

First, welcome to WebmasterWorld. (note: we stay away from signature style urls to thwart spamming/link dropping. thanks)

>other stats

a few:

- time on site.
- time between clicks.
- back tracking sales to find high roi "money" pages.
- referral keywords/phrases from search engines (retro engineer to build pages people want).
