Direct Animation
Is this a good tool to use for 2D vector graphics?

I want to add an extra feature to my site that allows customers to design there own quilts. I have been experimenting with the Structured Graphics Control(SGC) which is a component of MS's DirectAnimation packeage (which in turn is a part of DirectX).

The SGC seems to have all the features I need, and is available on IE4+ browsers (which is about 95% of my customer base).

But, I have not seen any web sites that use DirectAnimation, and there is very little info on using DirectAnimation listed in Google.

Is there anyone out there who has used it? Has it worked well? Are there problems with it? Is there a better 2D vector graphics package available (that doesn't require a special plug-in or download)?

Im sure that theres a javascript, or probably a java applet that can do a graphics thing. I remember that AnfyJava had a bunch of applets, and one was like a MSpaint applet you could put on your site. nothing extra to download with java applets.
