windows media player will let you play off a playlist, as will flash based applications. I'd look at those.

I'm not sure I understand what you want... are you looking to add software downloads of media players to your site or are you trying to find the best way to encode media?

XSPF Web Music Player is open source AND flash. I have been using it for a while and it is really easy to implement and you can use it for commercial or personal sites. The only thing I wish it had was fast forward and rewind buttons (within songs) but other than that it is pretty solid.

[musicplayer.sourceforge.net...]

If you want a nice but cheap alternative you may want to look at www.IStockPhoto.com. Yes its becoming one of the leaders in stock photography but they do have lots of other stuff too. I downloaded a few FLASH PLAYERS there that have done the trick for me. Otherwise there are tons of tutorials on how to build your own as well. I'm sure that a flash mp3 player or something would do the trick.
