Welcome aboard Mivox. I have enjoyed reading you and am glad to have you here. Why not show your creations right here on WmW? You can use the picture in your profile and change it once a week or so.
Welcome Mivox, looking forward to all the graphics tip I can get, 'cos heaven know, I need them.
Welcome Mivox. Graphics and design are my biggest stumbling blocks went it comes to websites.
The learning curve isn't always rising. I hope you don't mind very basic questions.

Hey, Woz. Think you need help? I just got this from a "fan" last night. (ouch!)...
|your pictures are dark and navigation is limited..cheer up the page and get to the point.. |
Like Woz and startup, I'm also a little "graphics impaired." And don't be surprised if you need to draw me a picture to explain... Welcome!! :)
welcome mivox - if I could get away with text only pages for my clients I would ;) I will be a regular visitor to your new forum.
;) Graphics are always the the logjam...I'm sure we will all benefit from the guidance and experience you will bring mivox.
This is a cause for a celebration! Can you come over and fix my monitor's gamma?
> your pictures are dark and navigation is limited..cheer up the page and get to the point..
I once had a visitor email me and tell me my site was "unnecessarily gloomy" and that black backgrounds should only be used in 'adult' sites...
Thanks for the welcome everyone! I don't mind incredibly basic questions at all... I know I can answer those! ;)
It's been my experience that a lot of web designers come into the field from a 'computer geek' background rather than a graphics/design background, so a lot of people seem to have their biggest learning curve in this area. Lord knows I still learn new tricks all the time!
> Can you come over and fix my monitor's gamma?
Err... I've seen some really cool looking $1000+ kits with special handheld sensors and calibration software... I've got a different setting on my home computer, my Mac at work, and the NT I have to use. I figure it gives me a variety of viewpoints on every design. ;)
Welcome aboard Mivox - glad to have you as a part of the best darn team on the Internet.
mivox, both you and this new forum are a welcome addition. I've always enjoyed your posts, and noticed that you explain everything in a clear, easy to understand way. It'll be like having our own graphics tutorials right here.
Good graphics design is an art and a skill - i'm sure you'll help us all come to appreciate the value in creative design.
Delighted to know you're here to help, and, I wish you good luck with the new forum.
Terrific forum addition, and excellent choice for moderator!
BTW, in five words or less, can you tell me the specific differences between RGB and indexed color? ;)
>the specific differences between RGB and indexed color?
Is this a test? (five words or less??? :o How 'bout six?)
Indexed: specified colors - RGB: monitor colors
It's kinda vague, but it makes sense to *me*
Test? no, not really, but you passed. ;)
I got ribbed on my first day as mod, and took it waaaay to seriously. drastic can be a little too drastic at times
Sorry, I just couldn't resist. :)
I passed? Oh good! ;) Now I won't have to worry about you starting a petition to dethrone me on grounds of lack of qualification.... *phew*
Thanks for all the furture help and congrats mivox :).
