Hi everybody

Would anyone know how fast or slow Yahoo India is to list a directory listing? I have been getting listed in U.S. Yahoo in about 2 to 3 months on average, 75% of submissions accepted with the free submit.

Also, does your site have to be in India to be listed with Yahoo India or is it sufficient to have a site that is aimed at India with lots of relevant Indian content?

Thanks.

I am not yet a member, will now be registering. I had been trying to submit a site to Yahoo, for months, without any success. Submitted to yahoo india, and was pleasantly surprised to receive an e-mail from them within about a week, advising me of my listing. Wasn't happy about the category they put me. They put me in Regional > India and the desired category. Even though I am based in New Delhi, India, our site is targeted towards international audiences and indeed 85% of the traffic and perhaps more than 95% of the content is international. My e-mail to them to change the category has been unreplied, since 3 weeks, but I guess that would be TOO much to expect from Yahoo.

Hi ranjit welcome to the board.

Sounds like yahoo is continuing their history abroad that they have here in the states.

(sorry cyberbear, I'm no help on this one).
