Submitting a subpage to Yahoo before the main URL
... your opinion?

I have a site I'd like to submit to Yahoo, that has 3 main sections to it. My biggest desire is to get the 3 subsections included there, and I don't care about the root URL as much, because the subsections offer me a better chance of getting a wider range of keywords ranking well. The root URL is not yet in Yahoo. My gut feeling is that if I submit one of the subsections (via BizEx) before I submit the main page, that Yahoo will just add the main URL and forget the subsection. Do you have opinions or experiences that confirm or deny this suspicion?

We have about half of our centers listed in Yahoo including the main site. They were listed through the free submission process. The centers are linked off the nav bar from the main site and are on specific topics including Perl, Java, Unix, etc. I believe the main site was already listed before I started submitting the centers.

A few of the centers I submitted were rejected because according to the reviewer the "content" was too close/similar to the main site.

Not having experience with BizEx (yet), I can only say that the centers we have were listed as their own separate entities. As to why that is, I'm guessing the center content was specific enough (articles, books, news on each subject) to be accepted.

The centers pull in quite a bit of traffic. I'd say it's worth a try.
