My site's pages indexed in Yahoo have been dropping by 2 to 5 pages a day since 3 weeks ago. I started with over 60 in the index (75 pages on the site), and now down to 14. The homepage still ranks well for normal searches.
What does this mean? Does anyone that has gone through this know what to expect next? If my pages keep dropping, I will be left with homepage only, and we all know that sometimes means a "ban".
I would have thought a ban that caused all of your pages to drop would happen suddenly (overnight). These pages are dropping very, very slowly. Some of the ones left showing on the site: search have no cache at all.
I submitted this a couple of days ago as a new thread but it didn't get through...
I've noticed that after the big May 11 shakeup, using many link popularity check tools returns the number of indexed pages for G! and MSN! but Y! states ZERO. Even keying in Google.com or Yahoo.com returns ZERO. I wonder if this has something to do with it...

I notice the same with one of my sites with very weak inbound links. It started with around 150, dropped to 90 during the past few weeks, but now site search shows about 220. Overall pages of the site are around 1,000. So no major alarm about penalty or banned.
You may want to refer to MC's coiled word of "crawl fringe". Though G and Y are different engines, the symptom seems to be very similar in concept but different in formula.
I am suffering from the same issues. My pages are dropping fast. From #18 last week, now to #56. I am pretty sure, my site is in concordance with Yahoo guidelines. Seems like everyone is suffering and no one knows why.
