I can see a yahoo update - can anyone confirm?

Looks like they have gone the way of google with more authority based site.

Is this the end of the little guys?

God help me i hope not

Cheers,

correction

Some of the results now look plain awful - what are they doing?

<<what are they doing?>>

Not updating. When they add the months upon months of data they have been collecting, it will look a lot different than the minor tweaks you are seeing. If not, than Yahoo is basically dead.

Well results look ok again.

Dont know what went on earlier but on one yahoo data centre earlier today, the serps were a real mixed up mess, looks like they tried something and then took it down. It was awful, anyone who thinks the serps now need adjusting should have seen what i was looking at earlier!

With the mess google and msn are in, last thing we need is Yahoo messing with the serps!

whatever thet have done, I like it. My traffic from yahoo has tripled since yesterday. It helped me set new records on one of my sites.

Results are a mess again.

Looks like they rolled this junk out a couple of days back then had to withdraw it. Now its returned.

What are they doing?

The results before were not perfect but were at least 70% on target with plenty of authority sites listed - now its about 15% on target, full of junk, scrapper sites etc.

Just when you think they can start to make a differance they roll this out! Amazing.

Forgot to add that News sites are doing well in this update

If you search for "Blue widget" you will find a number of sites listed that are either news sites or sites with a news section that has a page on news containing the word "Blue widget"

Meanwhile sites about blue widgets rank further down.

Yep, relevency has now gone out of the window!

I finally see an update.
I have to say this is the best update Yahoo have ever done! And it's not because I rank high - my keywords bacome hand-coded on the last update, so I have no chance ranking on the top 10 anyways, but so many "third-world" websites are gone...

Good job, Yahoo, it was about time. I hope you would not roll back the old results; and stop hand-coding.
