Changed hosts now I am gone -- help! textex msg:832702 11:08 am on Jun 10, 2005 (gmt 0) I had a site that was fairly new. Only had the homepage indexed. Was ranking poorly for main terms (was increasing in results though) but was ranking ok for secondary terms.
I changed to a new host and now my site is completely gone from Yahoo!. No double index listings, gone!
Do you think this has anything to do with my server change? Why? Or is this a penalty?
Should I submit via Free Express again? Or should I wait and see if SLURP finds my site.

Update---SLURP has come by and visisted a few pages.
Is this significant for hopes of being reindexed?

Did you leave site up at original host for awhile?
I've always done this and never had a problem.

Yes, site was up with original host during transfer.
I had just posted the following in another thread...excuse me for the double question but I am hoping for some answers.
Site is still getting spidered. Site shows backlinks still. I can not figure out if I have a penalty or not b/c the site has no pages listed in index, not even the double index page listing that normally accompanies a penalty.
What do you think?

Could it be that the server you moved to is actually banned due to the behavior of other sites on it?

WHat is the other thread that you post also this problem?

Are you on a dedicated ip?
A server I host with just went zero pr after bourbon.
My site on there is doing great, but still I'm a little worried this dodgy hosts google woes will drag us down too.
