My reading of the site was that the ice cream was an international offer, and you had to get your ice cream on March 2nd. There was even a link with an Aussie flag! Unfortunately, 10 years hasn't taught Yahoo! enough about the international world and the concept of timezones. The 'its now March 2nd' counter at Yahoo finally ticked over to March 2nd when it was already after 2.0opm in the afternoon of March 2nd here in Sydney Australia. So I really don't think many got to redeem their B&R coupons on March 2nd here in Australia....... Maybe next time. :( Icecreamless in Sydney

Still no bgcolor on the homepage ;) but it sure looks better than this one [promo.yahoo.com]. Interesting to see that all but one of the 'Other General Internet Directories' (see bottom of page) have gone up in smoke. Well done, Yahoo!

WWW Virtual Library is still around and active. Galaxy seems to still be around but has last year's copyright so not sure how active.

Found that it is valid in Canada, you need to click on your country's flag at the bottom of the first page to get the relevant cupon for your country.

Anyone remember typing in akebono? I think this was around 94 although the memory is a tiny bit hazey. I was at a New Year's Eve party where the gimmick was "bring & your old hardware for a last-minute tax write off". That is where I first saw the 'net as it is today. I think I was getting rid of '286 gear at the time. Oh yes - Happy Birthday!
