upto a couple of months ago I had all of my sites pages in the yahoo serps, since then only my homepage appears now, is it likely to be a penalty or would the homepage of gone as well?

same problem here, i had all sites indexed a few month ago then all was gone, but the links back was still there, then 7 days ago my index page was apearing, but only that one, now Im gone again.

I dont think its a penalty, its just inktomi that does a bad spidering and pure servers so they loose some sites.

My sites were rankings high in Yahoo. Few weeks ago Yahoo removed all the pages from the index. From last I can see the Home Pages of my websites appearing in Yahoo. But no rankings for any search term.

Have had top 5 positions for loads of KWs on Yahoo for the past year but have now disappeared (within the last 2 days).

As mentioned in the other posts, all I can find is the home page.

What types of sites are you guys running just to rule out the possibilities?
Mine is for some highly competitive KWs and is a large database driven site with lots of mod rewrite stuff to change the urls to more friendly looking .htm pages.

The only other factor I can think of is a large amount of crosslinking with related (but not overlapping sites) I run.

surfgatinho - I dont think think it has anything to do with thye sites content as long you keep to the rules, you my is a pure HTML static site and your dynamic.

I'm just trying to think of things that could trim a filter/penalty (if that is what it is).

I do think it is a filter as my category pages have disappeared but my home page still ranks (around 90-100) on the terms but below lots of other sites with low relevance.

It isn't that the pages have been dropped form the Yahoo index as I can find them if I hit "similar Pages"

Wierd!

my homepage is there but none of the other pages are listed at all and dont exist as far as yahoo is concerned or more likely they have been removed for penalty.

like I said I think it is a problem for inktomi, that they dont have all pages included, sometimes they reapeare then they are gone, I simply thing it is a server/program problem, like Google also hae some big trouble right now with spidering a full site.
