I submitted a re-review request to yahoo for my site which I felt was wrongly being penalized in the SERP. I received back a letter say among other things that most re-reviews net nothing and that if a change was made it could take 60 - 90 days for results.

Has any one else gone through this process and if so have you seen any results from it?

Note: all they say is get in comformance wityh Yahoo!'s content policy guidelines. Well I have printed and studied those guidelines but don't have a clue. They are so vague.

Well I got an e-mail saying they will review my site, and could take 30-60 days to be indexed depending on actualizations, etc.

For a week ago, Tim said in another thread, that my site is reviewed and I will be in serps in the near future.
Today finally slurp visited me, havnīt been in for weeks, and only read robots.txt, same as before......
Scooter is spidering heavily, donīt know if scooter is for yahoo search or not?

I knew somboby would ask that :)

Well to start with I am not back in, until I see it in serps.........

second, small things that wasnīt important for my ranking in google, but could have been seen with bad eyes, or better said with hard eyes.

As linkexchange, avoiding spiders to index similar pages, taking away some words in bottom of page, but donīt think any of these things was really spam, only optimization. Telling them that for years ago I was in an linkfarm but stopped for long time ago when I knew that wasnīt any good thing.

And as well I found strange things in my logfile that I reported, so I really donīt know the reason.

helenp, so you left the link farm a year ago but haven't been in for a year. Were you still receiving links from the link farm? Was the text not relevant to the rest of your site, or just there to boost the keyword density? Can you provide some more details?

Thanks

Actually, I donīt think you can compare sites, just look at yours thinking that you ever seen it, and had to review it, and hardly.

To your questions, really I donīt know if somebody links still, yes the text was relevant and wasnīt to boost keyword density, just some few words describing company (diferent words to words used in text, not to use both in text though that is ugly), and how to contact us.
But as I said, only the editor knows the reason.

billygg, you say creeping back up.

That means they were still there. I think most of us have been removed, not there.

Good for you.

I lost all my yahoo pages when positiontech granted us free listings in yahoo. I dropped from 600 pages to 2. I removed the paid listings from positiontech and they finally came back into yahoo today. Now I will remove another domain I paid for too with positiontech (at time of transition). If anyone is thinking of paying for sitematch I suggest you first see if you have free pages in yahoo and if so don't or you could very well lose them as I did for 2 domains. I'm curious to see what will happen after April 15th when all the positiontech pages get removed from yahoo- will the free pages return? By the way, I think the domain that reappeared may have been banned but I'm not sure.

I have submitted a my site for reinclusion - I did get a reply back saying that it had been received. I do not know whether it was reincluded or not but it will likely take a while. However we did find several ways in which the site was not in conformance with the guidelines - though they were not easy to find and we weren't intentionally trying to break the guidelines. Before I sent the reinclusion request, we made extensive changes to the site (some of the people maintaining the site used redirects for marketing campaigns and there were some duplicate pages from a site redesign with directory changes). Since the site is rather large, it was difficult to notice these things. We removed these problems and tried our best to clean it up so that we aren't doing anything we think Yahoo might not be happy about. I didn't think we were doing anything bad, however the penalty caused me to review the site in painstaking detail. In this process we found trouble and made the changes.
