I'm going to change my site name in this way :

1- modify old site name inside server with the new name keeping old IP address.

2- add the Old site name inside the Park domain option of cpanel so to keep all the old links.

is this a correct way of doing it?

your help will be appreciated

One of the best and most effective ways for changing to a new domain name is using a 301 redirect of the old URL to the new one. This tells the SEs that the site is permanently moved.

Good luck.
