One of my clients manages her own Google/Overture PPC campaigns. She’s spending about $300 a month for her ads for $5k of sales in an apparel niche. She is pleased enough, but wondered what the industry standards are.
I’ve located an online report costing $140 that looks like it might give some PPC statistics. I haven’t seen any hard data elsewhere. Searches for “PPC metrics”, “PPC statistics”, “PPC budgets” and variant searches spelling out the words have brought me to tons of firms managing ads or selling software. These firms and software boast the ability to help my Return On Investment. But, I haven’t found any information on what normal ROI’s are.
Can anyone recommend general PPC ad metrics that tell what people (people in general, people in a specific industry, people in the small apparel niche) pay for ads as a percentage of their sales?
