font and background color - how far apart ?

 12:38 am on Feb 10, 2001 (gmt 0)

I'm trying to get some not so visible text on a page that has a javascript redirect so that it can be seen by spiders, and not be noticible for the second or so before the page redirects to a clients Flash or image heavy page... Does anyone have any knowledge on how far apart the font and background colors need to be, so as not to be considered spam by the SEs ? thanks much

I try to go a total of "32" values away. So hex colors are in decimal are (255, 255, 255). That means to keep a color variation of 32 away, you would need something such as (244,244,244). Just subtract the two colors to arrive at the difference between them.
