We recommended that an adoption agency use GOTO to get some targeted traffic: [childrenoftheworld.com...] (Sorry for the URL drop but its needed for the rest of the story)

They opened an account and bid on two terms - Russian Adoption and China Adoption. One week later GOTO wrote back rejecting the terms, stating that they don't have enough relevant content. (Their site is ONLY about internetional adoptions) :(

When GOTO was hungry you could get anything past them and now that they are doing well they are rejecting 100% on target marketing terms...

Build 2 doorways about Russian Adoption and China Adoption.

Resubmit them.

It has less to do with hunger, and more to do with not putting partner relationships in jeopardy, by serving "unrelevant" content to keyword searches.

Partners like AOL, are very "picky" about GoTo bids being "on target" to their user's search term that was entered.

In GoTo's mind, better to go a bit "overboard"..
