to my mind, this is nothing new (at least several months old - except, perhaps, for the email pitch ;).

keep in mind that a fair portion of Mamma traffic is from canada. something to consider, with regard to conversions, if its something you are watching. ie. do you ship to canada?

Hi All,

Mamma's traffic is not Canadian, only 7-10% happens to be. They have never done any marketing in their home country.

As far as i know, they're still not an auction engine. Sure they're trying to make a buck, but they're trying not to prostitute the engine and keep their meta-search as their primary draw for users. They only have their top 2 results reserved for ppc advertisers.
