Anyone know how large of audience NetZero is? Is this a significant deal? -G

Internet service provider NetZero Inc. (NASDAQ:NZRO) Thursday employed GoTo.com Inc. (NASDAQ:GOTO) as its keyword search provider.

As part of the agreement, GoTo.com will provide its 7 million custom search listings to NetZero's users to assist them in finding information online.

I wonder how long they can survive. As I understand it, they depend on banner ad revenue for income.

I don't think I *ever* click on a banner ad. They are just something I have to put up with.

"I wonder how long they can survive. As I understand it, they depend on banner ad revenue for income."

That a good question.... but I must say that it doesn't look good for them.... Their not making any profits, infact their losses aren't even going down. They lost $33.5 million during the second quarter and that's up from losing 24.4 million during the same period last year. Like everyone else that once depended on AD revenue their scrambling to pick up the slack. Besides the goto deal, they're also now afforing a paid version of their service (minus the banners). My guess would be that it's too little and too late.....
