I'd urge anyone using Looksmart in Australia to take a close look at their October invoices.
Our most recent bill from them was for around four times the usual amount. When I took a look at the server logs for the relevant period, I noticed they'd taken it upon themselves to increase our keywords by a similar multiple - introducing search terms that are completely unrelated to our business.
I was pretty astonished by their front - even more so when my phone contact with them didn't result in an immediate cancellation of the invoice.
Has anyone else run into this kind of thing with Looksmart Australia? I'm curious to know whether this is purely a function of their losing some key staff recently, or reflective of some new strategy.
